Established in 1980, the firm was originally mentored by Frederick Charles Hallam, a retired solicitor and former Mayor of the City of Greater Cessnock, who interrupted his legal career to serve as a navigator in the RAAF during the Second World War. Our people now include two highly skilled senior solicitors, Robert William Littlewood and Kristine Hallam Littlewood, and experienced support staff, all of whom are dedicated to the “old-fashioned” values of service, integrity and absolute discretion.

The firm is located in the main street of Cessnock, a busy, growing town at the gateway to the Hunter Valley vineyards and close to the coastal areas of Newcastle City and Port Stephens. Drawing traditionally from the long time residents, business people and organisations of Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Maitland and Singleton, and the rural landholders and farming communities of the Wollombi Valley and the Lower and Upper Hunter, our clientele is now quite diverse. Over the last fifteen years the client base has expanded to service the influx from Sydney and the Central Coast regions, of people and businesses, investing in and re-locating to the Hunter, for the economic opportunities and lifestyle benefits that abound here.
